Meta Elevate supports Black, Brown, and Latinx small business owners with resources and tools to accelerate their economic success. Tasked with revamping their digital strategy over a 10-month contract, we made significant inroads to improve what was a stagnant account’s performance:

  • Increased account followers by 77+%

  • Increased engagement rates by 33%

In addition to improving account performance, as an account manager, I was also responsible for tracking scope and budgets. I successfully pitched for a budget increase of $250,000 to use for key tentpole activations and in particular, creating a roster of influencer partners. I managed and maintained influencer relationships, securing over 15 partnerships and spotlights worth more than $70,000.

As the digital strategist on this account, I wore many hats. Spanning from big picture planning around key tentpole dates to the day-to-day execution of social deliverables, I had a hand in every step of the digital strategic process.

Towards the end of our contract, I also created an in-depth analytics review summarizing our progress and pointing out key areas of opportunity moving forward.

In order to create a cohesive Instagram grid and serve the client’s KPI’s, I created specific content pillars to execute against. Ranging from educational resources to featuring inspirational members of the community, our social content was always delivered with a purpose.

To celebrate Black History Month, we created a digital campaign featuring small businesses located in LA’s City of Inglewood. We set out to speak to four local business owners with the goal of changing the narrative around gentrification, Speaking about the impacts of the City hosting the Superbowl and their personal challenges as entrepreneurs, we filmed content that would educate the Elevate audience on the history of the City while providing useful tips and information which could help their own business development.

In total, we produced one short feature film and three social-first videos that focused on the businesses individually.
